Fisher arrived to ARC as a juvenile with an old carpal fracture and puncture wounds on both wings which caused nerve damage to his wing. He also had three types of internal parasites that were treated successfully. Eye witness said he was attacked by a juvenile bald eagle trying to steal Fisher's fish. It is always challenging when you get an osprey in for rehabilitation. Many of them refuse to eat their fish unless they are alive and swimming around. Not the case with Fisher! He has thrived with us and actually chirps with delight when he sees his fish coming.
